Carrie has worked in communications for nearly a decade. With the founding of her second firm, ELISE communications, Carrie is partnering with clients that share her dedication to social innovation and excitement about groundbreaking consumer products.
Before opening ELISE in Philadelphia, Pa., Carrie co-founded a Portland, Ore.-based public relations and marketing firm, Bluedot communications. There she managed marketing and media relations initiatives for a diverse client base including Auctionpay, Marsh Inc., VeriLAN and Vision Capital Management, among others.
Prior to Bluedot, Carrie was senior associate in charge of client accounts at another Portland agency—3, the public communications co. A native Bostonian, Carrie spent several years working in communications at the Lemelson-MIT Program—a national awards and outreach program committed to raising the visibility of inventors—based at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Following college, Carrie lived in Madrid, Spain, where she taught English. She also completed a certificate in architecture at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. Carrie graduated from Haverford College in Pennsylvania where she majored in history and played lacrosse, serving as co-captain her senior year.
Currently, she is an advisor to Haverford College’s Center for Peace and Global Citizenship and a charter member of the communications working group for the Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE).
